Lakota Windchaser aka Charlie
Our inspiraton and the Ambassador of the herd. Charlie is the heart of Windchaser Ranch.
It was clear on our first introdction that he choose me to be his human and although I didn’t know it then he would change my life forever!

Charlie is a Blue Roan born in May 2011. He is tall for a Colonial Spanish Mustang, standing at 15.1 hands.
Built for endurance and mountain trails, he would have been a perfect choice for the Pony Express.
Apart from food his next most favorite things are bum scratches and cuddles.
Before being gelded he sired 2 colts one of whcih would have been our stallion but unfortunately that was not to be. Dakota Wildfore RIP
Champ
Champagne High aka Champ
Champ is our Foundation Stallion and the rarest of the rare being the only Champagne outside of America.
With the heart of a warhorse. We are very lucky he is part of our family and the future of the breed in Spain

Champ is an Amber Champagne Dun. So not only does he carry the very rare champagne gene he also displays the primitive markings of a dorsal line and leg stripes. His shoulder barring is more of a shadow.
He stands at 14.2.
Not only is he refined in his conformation he has one of the best minds I have ever come across as a breeding stallion. His manners are impeccable.
Promise
Cheyenne Promise aka Promise
Our matriarch who we often refered to as The Duchess. She is the watcher and protector.
There is a serenity about this mare that envelopes the entire Ranch.

Promise is a black dun also refered to as grullo. She also has the dorsal line and leg stripes (zebra markings).
With her more tobacco tones these are less evident than on Chinook, particularly in winter.
She stands at 14.2
She has produced one foal, a beautiful filly, in the past and she resides in France

There is no doubting Chinook’s beauty. Affectionately known as the princess.
There is a ‘childlike’ wonder in all she sees. With that said she has taken to motherhood and guides Parker with balance.

Chinook is a maiden mare, meaning Parker is her first foal. I am very proud of her and how she is with the baby.
Standing at 14,3+
She is alos a grullo, black dun. Due to her more silvery/mouse colouring the primitive markings are very clear to see.

Parker is a Zebra Dun and full of life.
With his perfect two white stockings and his sheild star we are besotted.
His arrival was the culmination of a lot of hard work and many sleepless nights.
It is early to say but he will be tall. My prediction os 15h.

Windchaser Ranch will always be home to Dakota Wildfire. Charlie’s colt and our stallion prospect. He was born in 2015 but tragically passed on at just two years old…
